How To Mask Baseboards For Painting
Remember: overspray and paint drips are a painter’s worst nightmare! Here’s how we mask baseboards to avoid getting unwanted paint on them.
Materials you’ll need
We always use a 3M masker, 1″ tape and 6″ masking paper. We set up the tape and masking paper in the masker so that we’re able to mask one entire wall’s-worth of baseboard at once.
The masking process
Run the masker along the whole strip of baseboard; try to keep the tape in a straight line, with no cuts. This gives the end result a clean, professional look. Do one wall at a time!
Note: Peak Pro Painting is not responsible for any damage resulting from mishandling of materials or techniques.
